3rd AIGeo National Meeting – IL RUOLO DELLA GEOMORFOLOGIA NELLA GESTIONE DEL TERRITORIO

Modena,  September 14-18, 2009

The University of  Modena and Reggio Emilia hosted on September 2009 the 3rd AIGeo National Meeting, organized by the Geomorphology Group from the Earth Sciences Department in honour of Prof. Mario Panizza.

Main topic of the Meeting was “The role of geomorphology in land management” and prominent invited speakers contributed to the scientific success of the event, among which the President of the International Association of Geomorphologists, Prof. Michael Crozier (New Zealand).

A pre-conference field-trip was organized in the Modena Apennines and a post-conference one in Alta Val Badia (Dolomites).

During the National Meeting the Young Geomorphologists Day was also organized, as important event for scientific growth and exchange among young reserchers.
